“Do Former Athletes Make Good Sales People”?

There’s been somewhat of a surge in hiring ex-athletes as spokespersons/salespeople for products that some of us use everyday. There are qualites that athletes have that are favored in the business world (i.e. competitiveness, focus, drive, never say die attitude etc), however, are these attributes highly differentiated from somebody who isn’t an ex-athelete…but has the same qualities. We’re going to have former athletes and non-athletes debate this question…it should be a lively discussion!
